Harinama Kirtan at the Lotus Festival!!!
The Lotus Festival is a blast every year!
It's a 2 day Kirtan at the booth with friends from Arizona, Los Angeles,
Sacramento, and San Francisco. The resonance singing and chanting of
the Holy Names of God filled the atmosphere purifying all entities at
Echo Park, Los Angeles California. People stopped by at the booth and
chanted with us playing drums and other musical instruments. Scrumptious
food was served...about 7,000 cookies and 2,700 mantra cards
were distributed to people. It was a successful event, a entire weekend of chanting
and singing of the Holy Names!
Jaganath, Balarama, and Subadra were there on the second day of the festival which is the celebration of the auspicious Ratha Yatra Festival.The palaquins of Jaganath, Subadra, and Balarama were carried to the main stage. There is about 100,000 spectators every year for the weekend. One of the main attractions at Los Angeles is the blooming of the Lotus Flowers in the summer at Echo Park Lake. A yoga dance with a sound track "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudev Vaya" and " Chaitanya Nityananda" were presented followed by Harinama Kirtan. The audience enjoyed the wonderful performance.

Ratha Yatra Parade follows carrying the plaquins of Jagananth, Subadra, and Balarama around Echo Park lake chanting the Holy Names. It's about a mile walk around the lake where the Lotus Flowers bloom. It was another attraction for people seeing the beautiful Ratha Yatra of Jaganath, Balarama, and Subadra. All Glories to Jaganath, Balarama, and Subadra! All Glories to Harinama SanKirtan! All Glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!
