Chant the Holy Names

Kirtan or Mantra Meditation, is the chanting of and meditation

on sacred sounds. A mantra is a transcendental  sound vibration

which draws the mind away from the material world.  Simply by

listening to a mantra we can become purified and enlightened and

begin to taste that happiness for which we are always anxious.

  Gopala:     God is the Supreme Protector. The Chief Herdman,

                        and Friend of the cows.

  Govinda:   The Supreme Lord is the  Chief Herdman and Protector

                        and gives pleasure to the land, cows, and the senses.

  Rama:        God is called Rama because He gives transcendental

                        pleasure to those who render loving service to Him.

  Hare:           The name Hare refers to the energy of God.

      

  Krishna:     The name Krishna refers to the Supreme Person Himself.

                         Krishna means He Who is All-Attractive.

  Rama:         God is called Rama because He gives great transcendental

                         pleasure to those who render loving service  to Him.
